Oriental Cost, Cozumel.

Cozumel is a Mexican Island known as a cruise port in the Caribbean Sea. There is little that is developed on the island behind a small area around the docks where the immense boats bring thousands of tourists to this minimal coastal area.

Beyond the nearby few blocks of cafes and souvenir shops, you can visit by a tour the Chankanaab ecological park, the beaches of the hotel zone or other places to dive around the Reef National Park of Cozumel with its underwater caverns, home to dolphins, manatees, and sea turtles.

On the narrow counter of a rent-a-car office, a Russian tourist recommends me Coconuts Bar and Grill Restaurant. Located in the Island’s eastern coastal road, which for the most part is in a virgin state, the spot is well known. However, there is little or no promotion for places out of the regular itineraries. For the tourist who wants to get out of the ordinary and does not travel with local guides, (extremely overpriced in a destination where there is little to see), this part of Cozumel can be much more interesting and offer better pictures.

Indeed, there are some vegetation, the remains of stalls abandoned after the passage of tropical storms, and desolate beaches where visitors must bathe at their own risk because there is no one else there. A feast for the photographer to indulge.

While driving to the restaurant I found a surreal scene with a tremendous abundance of typical Mexican colors. Since it called my attention, I had to stop the car and made a U-turn. At the entrance of a beach center, there is a small red boat that welcomes visitors over a yellow and turquoise fence that delimits the sand behind some green agaves originals of this area.

Off course the boat is not in the water, nor that the agaves had become tequila drink yet, it is all the work of someone who decided to climb it on a mountain of sand to surprise us. As the song says, it’s Mexico, lindo y querido.

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme
of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between superb
usability and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a
excellent job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Safari.
    Excellent Blog!
